Kenny Chesney Day - yesterday

Yesterday was officially Kenny Chesney Day!!It comes around every Summer...sometimes in July, sometimes in August, but it comes around like clockwork! It's my favorite day of the year. Better than Christmas, birthdays, Thanksgiving, better than any day of the year!!

Rachel (my daughter) and I woke up at 3:45am to participate in the local radio stations Kenny-lympics...this is my 1st time trying this but I thoguth what could it hurt right?? I was off of work so why not.

There were 50+ people and I made it to #7 and 1-5 were the winners so I just missed my front row tickets, it was such a bummer but I had fun running the obstacle and playing musical chairs...in toddler chairs....how often do you get a chance to do something like that???
From there we went to VA Beach where my sister-in-law had a hotel room with some of her girlfriends and laid out on the beach and hung out until the concert, it was such a perfect day!!

Lee Ann Rimes opened for him and I had never see her before. Let me tell you something, she was awesome!! She rocked her little butt off! Here's a video of her taken with Rachel's camera (you may hear my Rachel singing with her):

video

Lee Ann was so cute and sassy in her minidress and high heels!

Here is Rachel before the show:

Here is the hottie:
(I was surprised the stage didnt catch fire when he came out, he was so hot!!)
Here is a little video taken by Rachel of him singing Don't Blink:

video

When Kenny sang When the Sun Goes Down he had LeeAnn come out too and she was in her pajamas!! It was so funny...he said "Miss LeeAnn Rimes...in her pajamas???" and started laughing his head off!!

I have seen Kenny every year he has been here and I can honestly say that he has never been so wide open and so keyed up!! I know he loves coming to VA Beach and we love having him, too!!! He sang songs of his he never sings in concert, he sang some BobMarley songs, a little Steve Miller Band, OMG, he was on fire like I have never seen!! After being up from 3:45am I finally got home and to bed at about 1:30am....and I would do it for him any day of the week!!!

Hope everyone has a great day and I will try to stamp again someday...!!!

Wedding Invitations

Today while you are reading this I should be laying on the beach with my ipod and my Kristin Hannah book.
Here are a few pictures of the wedding invitations I made for a good friend/co-worker.
I made 125 of them.
They are 5x7.
25 each in Only Orange, Real Red, Lovely Lilac, Pink Passion, Yoyo Yellow.
The ribbon tying and glueing that scallop edge on were the most tedious parts.
I used the PTI set Garden of Life
The brides colors are all of the colors I used. Everything will be decorated with Gerbera Daisies.
I still have to make about 75 Thank You cards to match the invitations.
The bride loves them! She said they are exactly what she wanted and just enough "Jimmi".
I didn't blur out the details because the bride said I could post them here and I don't think y'all are coming all the way to VA just to see these IRL, lol!
Enjoy!

Flip Flop for Kim

If this post works correctly in draft.blogger then I am probably waking up at the beach in Nags Head when you are reading this post!
I have a hard time trusting that I can just put a date and time in and blogger will post this for me...I just don't trust technology enough I guess, lol.
Anyway, onto the card!
I made this card for my good friend Kim/nutsymuhl who broke her foot and is in a cast up to her knee!! That's not the worst part...the dr. told her she could NEVER WEAR FLIP-FLOPS AGAIN! Can you imagine?? They had to put a tiny screw in her foot to fix it and they said that flip-flops arent supportive enough, omg, right? (Sheck out this thread to send Kim a card, too: KIM RAK)
I made her a card with one flip-flop on it because I figure while her leg is in a cast she can still wear flip-flops on her good foot so she gets one flip-flop on her card!! I also can't seem to put this stamp kit away. It's called Beach Day and it is a Unity Stamp Co. kit and I love it!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!!!

P.S. - I said in my last post that I am done with the wedding invitations and I wil share them with you this week. I didnt get good pics the 1st time so I took more before I left for vacay and posting them this week, I promise!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Fourth of July!!

This is a birthday card for my husband. His birthday isnt until the 8th but we will be at the beach so I won't be home to make him one at the last minute like I normally would so I made it this morning.

I was so inspired by all the blog posts I read this morning in my Google Reader that had red, white and blue cards in them that I used that as my inspiration for Mike's card.

{I was also inspired by his love of Bud Light;)}

I used the Unity Stamp Company kit Dad's of All Kinds for my card. I think that even though I don't drink beer (Grey Goose and Jose Cuervo are my friends, lol) the beer bottle is my favorite stamp in this kit!

I still can't get over the fact that Angela at Unity had this stamp kit made just because I thought of it and wanted a stamp set like this with these images in it!! It's really unbelievable and so exciting!

I'll be back tonight or tomorrow with my last post until at least the 13th. I am finally done with the 120 wedding invitations I have been working on and I really want to share them with y'all!

ETA: I learned how to use draft.blogger so my wedding invite post is coming on Thursday I think...and another one will be posted on Monday, if I did it right!!

TLC175

I made this card last night for Technique Lovers Challenge # 175.
The technique was Chalk Pouncing.
This is the 1st technique I ever learned a couple of years ago when I started stamping. In fact I think we did something like this at the 1st SU! workshop I attended at my sisters house!

Stamps: Floral Fantastical, Unity Stamp Company
Paper: Basic Grey, Old Olive, Cameo Coral Whisper White
Ink: Versamark, Stampin' Pastels

Have a great day!
